Health and Social Care Bill The Grand Committee further considered the bill, beginning with amendment 101A. Amendments were agreed to. The Committee adjourned after Schedule 8, as amended, was agreed to.

2    Crown Prosecution Service (Respondents) v Jennings (Appellant) It was moved by Lord Bingham of Cornhill that the 39th Report from the Appellate Committee be agreed to; the motion was agreed to. It was ordered and adjudged that the Order of Her Majesty’s Court of Appeal of 25 June 2005 be affirmed and the appeal dismissed; and that the question of costs be adjourned in order that the parties may make written submissions within 14 days. 3    R v Green (Appellant) (On Appeal from the Court of Appeal Criminal Division) It was moved by Lord Bingham of Cornhill that the 40th Report from the Appellate Committee be agreed to; the motion was agreed to. It was ordered and adjudged that the Order of Her Majesty’s Court of Appeal of 25 May 2007 be affirmed and the appeal dismissed; and that the question of costs be adjourned in order that the parties may make written submissions within 14 days. 4    RB (Algeria) (FC) and another (Appellants) v Secretary of State for the Home Department (Respondent) (England) The appeal of RB and U was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order VI the statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 25 June (lodged 13 May).

5    R (on the application of Black) (Respondent) v Secretary of State for Justice (Petitioner) The petition of Secretary of State for Justice praying for leave to appeal was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.

6    East Riding of Yorkshire Council (Petitioners) v Hobson (Respondent) The petition of East Riding of Yorkshire Council praying for leave to appeal in accordance with the Administration of Justice Act 1960 was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.

7    R v G (Respondent) The petition of the Crown Prosecution Service praying for leave to appeal in accordance with the Criminal Appeal Act 1968 was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.

8    Appeal Committee The 66th Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following Order was made:
